Digital Domain partnered with 72andSunny, Activision and Treyarch to bring to life both new and iconic characters of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for their cinematic reveal of the game due to release on October 12, 2018.
In this explosive 90 second cinematic, Digital Domain created all CG characters, environments, explosions, hair grooming, cloth sim and all visual effects. Digital Domain is recognized as a world leader in CG human work and for creating photoreal film characters, which was extremely important to Activision and 72andSunny.
Digital Domain’s very own Aladino Debert directed the film, and in addition to the CG animation and visual effects work the studio was tapped to produce the storyboards, motion capture and previsualization for the cinematic.
